Back on the road, path

I'm off traveling for another three days this week, back a bit, and then off to Australia for three weeks to spend time with my family - my Mum's 70th birthday. Not sure how the diet thing is going to work there, were it's not typical to have an egg white and an apple for dinner...

Last week was a bit of a mess - missed a few days exercise, wasn't great either on the diet.

But I'm back, stretching and flexing and eating...

  1. There is nowhere except the fantasy PCP temple where eating an egg white and apple are typical for dinner. From experience, I know it's weird to tell you family this is what you're eating for dinner, not whatever delicious thing they've cooked up. But, trust me on this, even though they'll look at you funny and give you shit, they'll still love you. Stick with it the best you can! And, take pictures to share!!!

  2. I sometimes find travelling makes it EASIER.
No patterns to get rut-stuck in.
Nothing familiar to fall back on.
No one who knows "the usual"; all strangers to you think you are a stranger to them. So it doesn't matter what you eat, nor that you do yoga in the airport lounge or hotel lobby.
And eating weird KFB food leads to unendingly fun conversations, especially with a 70 year-old mom. Start by saying "I am only allowed to eat foods that you would have recognized as food when you were in grade school."
Then go through her kitchen to see how many un-qualifying foods she has!
